Keith McManus is a masterful storyteller who can connect with his audience in a way that leaves an unforgettable impression. With over 35 years of experience in active ministry, Keith joined Disney in March 2013 as a part-time Character Attendant in the Magic Kingdom. Little did he know that this would be the beginning of an incredible journey that would take him to new heights.
Keith’s passion for learning, mentoring, and investing in others is evident in his unwavering determination and tireless efforts. He quickly ascended the corporate ladder at Disney, serving in various roles such as a facilitator for “Once Upon A Time Is Now,” the Magic Kingdom Park orientation, “Welcome to Entertainment” class at Disney University, and being selected to the 2015 Traditions Team. He also became a Character Attendant Trainer on his way to becoming an Entertainment Captain and an Entertainment Character Captain Trainer. Keith was even a Float Driver for Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade and Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Keith’s dedication and hard work paid off when he was selected to be a part of Disney’s Emerging Leaders program in October 2016. He further advanced his career by filling the Resort Entertainment Guest Experience Manager role at Disney Springs, then in the Walt Disney World Resorts and the Magic Kingdom. His contributions and commitment to his work were recognized when his fellow Cast Members awarded him the Walt Disney Legacy Award on August 8, 2019.
In addition to his time with Disney, Keith has held various other positions throughout his career. As the Director of Sonshine Avenue Ministry, Inc., Program Manager for the Central Florida Mobile Hope Center, Director of Programming for Powerhouse Youth Project, and Creative Consultant for various businesses and organizations, Keith has made an impact wherever he goes. He has been invited to speak at numerous events and organizations across the United States and around the world. He has been a keynote speaker, sharing his experiences and lessons passionately and enthusiastically.
Keith’s life journey has been both inspiring and challenging. With his positive attitude, servant leadership, and love for what he does, he has proven that success is within reach. Keith encourages others to “Dream BIG, in color, and with your eyes wide open.”
